This bonus applies to the experience gained when damaging Monsters, Strength experience gained from barbarian Fishing, and Magic experience earned from Alt. Magic spells. It does not apply to Slayer experience.
The bonus experience from the Gold Emerald Ring stacks multiplicatively with the bonus from Pyro and the Firemaking Skillcape, so using all three together provides +13.42% xp.
The non-combat equivalent of the Gold Emerald Ring is the Ancient Ring of Skills.
