===Modifiers===
===Modifiers===
Each constellation starts with 6 different predetermined modifiers. Each modifier will start with 0% bonus. You can use {{ItemIcon|Stardust}} or {{ItemIcon|Golden Stardust}} to upgrade it to 8%(standard) or 5%(unique) bonus. Each upgrade gives a 1% bonus.
Each Constellation starts with 6 predetermined Stars (modifiers) that are unlocked by increasing the {{Icon|Mastery}} Level of the Constellation. Upgrading Stars that provide standard modifiers costs {{ItemIcon|Stardust}}, while upgrading Stars that provide unique modifiers costs {{ItemIcon|Golden Stardust}}. The modifier starts at 0, so you need to use the appropriate type of Stardust to benefit from a Stars' modifiers.

Upgrading standard modifiers costs {{ItemIcon|Stardust}}, while upgrading unique modifiers costs {{ItemIcon|Golden Stardust}}.
The maximum amount of upgrades you can put into a Star modifier is determined by the type of modifier. Normal modifiers can go up to level 8, whereas unique modifiers can only go up to level 5. Each upgrade gives a linear increase to the bonus.

The first upgrade needs 10 {{ItemIcon|Stardust}} or 50 {{ItemIcon|Golden Stardust}}. With each upgrade, the cost of {{ItemIcon|Stardust}} or {{ItemIcon|Golden Stardust}} will double.
The first upgrade requires {{ItemIcon|Stardust|qty=10}} or {{ItemIcon|Golden Stardust|qty=50}}. With each upgrade, the cost of {{ItemIcon|Stardust}} or {{ItemIcon|Golden Stardust}} will double, resulting in the last upgrade of a star costing {{ItemIcon|Stardust|qty=1280}} or {{ItemIcon|Golden Stardust|qty=800}}. Each standard modifier requires {{ItemIcon|Stardust|qty=2550}} to max out, while each unique modifier requires {{ItemIcon|Golden Stardust|qty=1550}} to max out. This results in the following total cost by expansion:

Each standard modifier requires 2550 {{ItemIcon|Stardust}} to max out, and each unique modifier requires 1550 {{ItemIcon|Golden Stardust}} to max out. This results in a total of {{ItemIcon|Stardust|qty=84150}} ({{TotH}} {{ItemIcon|Stardust|qty=114750}}) and {{ItemIcon|Golden Stardust|qty=51150}} ({{TotH}} {{ItemIcon|Golden Stardust|qty=69750 }}) needed to max out every modifier in astrology.

Mechanics

Leveling Astrology involves Studying various Constellations, starting with the Deedree Constellation at level 1. Studying has a base interval of 3 seconds per action. Studying does not cost any resources and provides Astrology experience and Mastery experience for the Constellation after each action.

Each Study action also has a chance to provide   Stardust,   Golden Stardust, or to ( ) discover a Meteorite.

Acquiring Stardust

Training Astrology is the primary way of obtaining   Stardust and the only way to obtain   Golden Stardust. Both are acquired at random while studying Melvor Constellations, where Stardust and Golden Stardust drops with a 5% and 2% chance per action respectively.

  Stardust can also be obtained in small quantities from   Cutting or   Burning   Magic Logs - see the respective pages for more information.

If the

Into the Abyss Expansion is owned,

Abyssal Stardust

can be obtained from any Abyssal Constellations. The base rate for Abyssal Stardust is 8%.

All 3 types of Stardust can be obtained in set quantities from   Township Tasks.

For boosts to Dust Chance or Quantity, see Astrology/Boosts.

Modifiers

Each Constellation starts with 6 predetermined Stars (modifiers) that are unlocked by increasing the   Mastery Level of the Constellation. Upgrading Stars that provide standard modifiers costs   Stardust, while upgrading Stars that provide unique modifiers costs   Golden Stardust. The modifier starts at 0, so you need to use the appropriate type of Stardust to benefit from a Stars' modifiers.

The maximum amount of upgrades you can put into a Star modifier is determined by the type of modifier. Normal modifiers can go up to level 8, whereas unique modifiers can only go up to level 5. Each upgrade gives a linear increase to the bonus.

The first upgrade requires 10   Stardust or 50   Golden Stardust. With each upgrade, the cost of   Stardust or   Golden Stardust will double, resulting in the last upgrade of a star costing 1,280   Stardust or 800   Golden Stardust. Each standard modifier requires 2,550   Stardust to max out, while each unique modifier requires 1,550   Golden Stardust to max out. This results in the following total cost by expansion:
