Introduction

skill. Woodcutting is used to generate logs, which are primarily used in the skills

. Woodcutting also has the chance to produce Bird Nests, which can be opened for Seeds for

Farming

or sold for making money.

Equipment

There is no requirement to start Woodcutting. One should always use the best Axe available for purchase in the Shop.

Multi-Tree

which allows two trees to be cut at the same time, increasing the experience and logs gained per hour.

Boosters

The Firemaking Skillcape provides an additional 5% experience to all skills.
The Pyro pet provides an additional 1% experience to all skills.
The Woodcutting Skillcape reduces base woodcutting interval by 15%.
The Bird Nest Potion provides an increased chance for bird nests while chopping logs. Nests can be sold to buy Axe upgrades or

Multi-Tree.
The Beavis pet provides an additional 5% chance to double logs in woodcutting.

Master of Nature, which can be purchased from the Shop after completing

Training

Put simply, it is advised to cut the two highest level trees available to the player for the higher exp/hr gain, whilst avoiding Magic Trees due to their lower exp per hour compared to most of the lower level trees.

Ensuring you have the most up to date Axes available to your level in the shop will also ensure the fastest experience rates.

Experience per hour can easily be calculated per tree as (experience gain/cutting interval)*3600.

Selling logs is advisable to make it possible to purchase essential upgrades such as Axes or
