! Know of a good money making method?
For the game version 1.0, the methods below are still viable and have roughly the same power. That means that the most profitable method remains on top, but it could yield a different amount of money compared to what is written there.

Beginners are advised to start with the Fishing method because it doesn't require any additional skills to level, gives viable GP yields, and is the only source of Ancient Ring of Mastery and Ancient Ring of Skills that are very helpful in the long run.

The mining-related boosts for crafting Headless Bolts will be acquired naturally. The Perfect Swing Potion IV will not affect the result much.

Method
# Thieve from the . When you get a sizeable amount of Jadestone, proceed to the next step.
# Mine Iron Ore, Get Iron Bar through Alt. Magic or Smithing, Forge Headless Bolts with Smithing,
# Fletch Jadestone Bolts from Jadestone,
# Sell common drops. Use on the drops worth more than 15,000.
# Get 24,740,000 per hour on average.

Thieving is not better than the Dragon Javelin method by default.<br>
Both methods heavily depend on the buffs from items, passives, and skills.<br>
The most important boosts to get this method even started are all buffs to Stealth and Thieving Interval Reductions.<br>
Once this is survivable, the next important one is the Leprechaun+Devil synergy to increase the number of Jadestones gathered.<br>
Also high resource preservation and Item doubling during Fletching is very beneficial. Using Crown of Rhaelyx and its Charge Stone of Rhaelyx is strongly recommended here.
Without most of the buffs, the thieving gains can be as low as 4,000,000 per hour.

Method
This method relies on the increased sell values of common drops from the Leprechaun+Monkey synergy: "Upon receiving a Common Drop from Thieving, automatically sell it for 1500% of its base sale price."

# Craft Leprechaun and Monkey Tablets and equip them.
# Thieve from the .
# Sell all unsold drops. Use on the drops worth more than 10,000.
# Get 16,476,000 per hour on average.

Without most of the buffs, the thieving gains can be as low as 8,000,000 per hour.

| Dragon Fishing Rod || The strongest Fishing Rod, reduces fishing catch time by 40%.
|-
| Amulet of Fishing || Reduces fishing catch time by a flat 15%. This is added to the Rod's bonus, so using Dragon Rod and Amulet provides a 55% reduction.
|-
| Fishing Skillcape || Doubles the number of fish caught.
|-
| Aorpheats Signet Ring || Increases the chance of doubling the number of fish caught by 10%.
|-
| Pudding Duckie || Increases the chance of doubling the number of fish caught by 5%.
|-
| Raw Magic Fish || Doubles the number of fish caught.
|-
| 50% Fishing Mastery Pool Checkpoint || Provides a 5% chance to catch double fish.
|-
| 95% Fishing Mastery Pool Checkpoint || Provides a 25% chance to receive an additional random special item whenever special items are received.
|-
| Fishermans Potion IV || Increases the chance of doubling the number of fish caught by 12%. (requires Herblore)
|}

Note that the Fishing Skillcape and Raw Magic Fish will stack, causing at least four fish to be caught each time. The Signet Ring, pet bonus and Fishermans Potion and the 50% Mastery Pool Checkpoint will provide a 32% chance of catching eight fish.

Method
Equip Fishing gear and fish for Magic Fish. Each piece of equipment will give a substantial boost to profit per hour. Fishing is the most profitable single-skill money making method, though it gets outclassed by the multiplicative benefits of the combinations above. This method does not include extra gold gained from special chances which would boost profit per hour marginally. Maximum gp/hr rates assume all improvements to GP rate are obtained and in use.

Alternative Fish
Players who do not yet have level 80 fishing may also choose to consider the following options: (Note that the numbers below include the boost from the Fishing Skillcape, and as such the actual profit per hour will be substantially lower for players who do not have it)

Method
This method is recommended to use if you play Adventure and there's no better money-making method at hand.

# Buy Gem Gloves,
# Mine Adamantite Ore or anything below it until you unlock it,
# Sell gems and ores that you got.

The method relies on the Gem Gloves that increase the gems drop chance to 100% when mining anything but the Rune Essence. The average value of a Gem is 381.25, while a single charge of the Gem Gloves costs only 250. Thus 131.25 of profit is earned per mining action from gems.

With the Dragon Pickaxe and Adamantite Ore, you will get around 470,000 per hour.

A fully juiced setup with the Dragonite Ore will give around 1,350,000 per hour.<br>
Please note that this setup already includes the Master of Nature which is unlocked after beating the Earth God Dungeon. This upgrade is quite essential to reach GP rates this high. Players at this point have probably already better money making methods at hand.
Without the Master of Nature upgrade and only Perfect Swing Potion III the GP rate already drops to 787,000.<br>
The calculation does not include any Astrology modifiers.

{{SpoilerBox|text=
The results were calculated with the Melvor Idle Rate and Resource Calculator created by Kidbiz20#2026.
To check your own setup, do the following:
# Copy the spreadsheet to your Google Drive.
# On the Equipment tab, specify for Mining that you wear Gem Gloves.
# On the Mining tab, set Current Experience to unlock the ores, Ores masteries, and other things that you have.
# Specify any additional things in the sheet if you want to, like pets and so on.
# You should see your gains in the kGP/h column of the Mining tab.

** Fletch Dragon Javelin until you run out of resources
It is recommended to fletch for many hours at a time as to minimize the cost of switching between agility obstacles
Ratios
For each hour of Fletching you'll need to spend (on average):
* 00:01s mining Rune Essence
* 00:11.5s mining Dragonite Ore
* 00:23s mining Runite Ore
* 00:27s runecrafting Spirit Rune

* 37:16s Woodcutting Redwood Logs and Yew Logs
* 09:38s Smithing Dragon Javelin Heads
and it'll generate 50,297 Dragon Javelins, selling for 32,693,142 GP and leave as byproducts:
* 8.09 Mastery Token (Fletching)
* 2.60 Mastery Token (Smithing)
* 0.70 Mastery Token (Woodcutting)
* 0.02 Mastery Token (Runecrafting)

* 0.08 Mining Gloves
* 0.39 Perfect Swing Potion IV

It is recommended to combine Circlet of Rhaelyx and Jewel of Rhaelyx into Crown of Rhaelyx and selling them using Item Alchemy III and GP boosting items, this will add (per hour of fletching) 0.02 seconds to sell crowns and 0.04 seconds to sell the leftover Jewel of Rhaelyx, with the profit from that and selling the other leftover elements normally you'll end up with a maximum possible output of 18,265,154 GP per hour all things considered.

GP Rates with different Equipment and Mastery
The mastery in the tables below assume that every item has that mastery level. Note that the time to gather the ingredients for and make Perfect Swing Potions has not been included in the calculation due to it being negligible. It is also assumed that the Barrentoe Herbs for creating Diamond Luck Potions is grown concurrently during the money-making method, and do not add additional time.

Calculating the GP Rate
The GP rate can be calculated by finding the profit of completing a single platebody action and dividing by the time to complete the action and gather/craft all sub-components.

Fletching Magic Longbows (Max 975k/hr)
0.14
Requirements
* Level 99 Woodcutting
* Level 99 Fletching
* Dragon Axe Upgrade
* Multi-Tree Upgrade
* Woodcutting Skillcape
* Fletching Skillcape
* (Optional) Aorpheats Signet Ring
* (Optional) Skilled Fletching Potion IV
Method
By utilizing the output doubling of the Fletching Skillcape, the value of magic logs can be more than quadrupled; it is doubled once making unstrung bows, and another time making strung bows. Profits can be further increased by using Skilled Fletching Potion IV and Aorpheats Signet Ring. To calculate the maximum GP per hour, 99 mastery level will be assumed. The entire process is as follows:
# Cut yew logs and magic logs simultaneously while wearing the Woodcutting Skillcape. The yew logs should be sold.
# Fletch the magic logs into Magic Longbow (u) while wearing the Fletching Skillcape.
# Purchase bowstrings from the Shop and fletch the unstrung bows into Magic Longbow.
# Sell the longbows for profit.
Without using Aorpheats Signet Ring and Skilled Fletching Potion IV profits are around 624k/hr, however, using the ring and potion increases profits by 351k/hr.

Chopping Magic and Mahogany Logs (Max 1,324k/hr)
Requirements
* Woodcutting
Method
Simply cut down Magic Logs and Mahogany Logs log and sell the logs and Bird Nest for profit.
Expected Resources Per Hour
The maximum rates assume Dragon Axe, Multi-Tree, Aorpheat's Signet Ring, Clue Chasers Insignia, Beavis, Master of Nature, Woodcutting Skillcape, 95% Woodcutting Mastery Pool Checkpoint and 99 log mastery.
Bird Nests are only provided once per action.
This yields about , worth 3,375k
can increase the profit even further, but probably not significantly.
Agility Obstacles have not been included in the calculation, as the Spreadsheet does not support them.

Chopping Logs With Bird Nests Potions (Max ~5000k/hr)
Requirements
* Woodcutting
* Herblore
Please note: Although the requirements seem low, using Bird Nest Potion IV and minimum action time (Dragon Axe, Woodcutting Skillcape and Master of Nature god upgrade) are advised or else the GP rate drops significantly.
Method
Cut down Normal Logs and sell the logs and Bird Nest for profit. A portion of the nests can be opened for Potato Seeds to make more potions.
Expected Resources Per Hour
The maximum rates assume Dragon Axe, Multi-Tree, Aorpheat's Signet Ring, Clue Chasers Insignia, Beavis, Master of Nature, Woodcutting Skillcape, 95% Woodcutting Mastery Pool Checkpoint and Normal Logs, Bird Nest Potion IV and Ent + Bear Synergy active.
This yields about and worth 3,375k
can increase the profit even further to approximately 5,000k more when using +15% Bird Nest drop rate Unique Modifiers
Agility Obstacles have not been included in the calculation, as the Spreadsheet does not support them. But at least Obstacle 3: Stepping Stones probably has a serious effect.

Combat
0.18
Combat can yield some of the highest GP rates in the game. Magic is the most profitable, but it can differ based on the gear and skills in your possession. In general, you need a best-in-slot setup of Melee or Ranged and have 99 in relevant combat skills to be on par with level 85 Magic in God Armor.
The exact rates are difficult to determine, but the best targets are as follows: Infernal Stronghold, Master Farmer, Black Dragon.
The two items that make this method good are Chapeau Noir and Aorpheat's Signet Ring.
Calculating the specific GP/hr depends on your stats and gear.
The Combat Simulator in Scripting and Extensions can help you to calculate the gains for your build.
One of the most profitable dungeons is the Infernal Stronghold because it drops a lot of pure GP that gets doubled with the Aorpheat's Signet Ring. The pure GP gain with the ring is 250,000 per clear.
It also drops the Infernal Cape and the Infernal Core that will net you 402,400 additional GP per clear if sold with Item Alchemy III.
For one clear Infernal Stronghold will yield a total of 250,000 + 402,400 = 652,400 GP per clear.
Some of the setups are listed below, but it is advised to use The Combat Simulator to check your build. By default, all of the listed setups have Aorpheat's Signet Ring in the ring slot with no passive slot, Prayer, or Herblore.

The time required to mine and craft runes was not accounted in the calculations above. For instance, the build above uses 10,380 runes. At maxed-out Mining and Runecrafting, it will take around five minutes of mining essence and fifteen minutes of runecrafting. The overall GP rate is then adjusted to 9,5 million gp/hr.
