The Siphoning Barrier Gem has three uses: as a gem (equipment), for making 
Tortoise tablets, and for upgrading armor to (B) and (C) variants.
100% Completion
100% completion requires many copies of this gem for armor upgrades. While the gem drops from three different dungeon chests, it is recommended to farm for it using the 
Cult Grounds or 
Underwater City dungeons because while all three dungeons have nine enemies, the 
Trickery Temple can only yield one gem per chest and has enemies whose damage scales with your damage.
