Boosters

XP

The following things can be used to increase the amount of Woodcutting XP received.

Action Time

The following things can be used to reduce the amount of time per action in Woodcutting.

Training

Put simply, it is advised to cut the two highest level trees available to the player for the higher exp/hr gain, whilst avoiding   Magic Trees due to their lower exp per hour compared to most of the lower level trees. Ensuring you have the most up to date Axes available to your level in the shop will also ensure the fastest experience rates.

The table below assumes you have the

Multi-Tree

upgrade; if you haven't purchased it yet, simply cut the higher level of the two listed logs.

Level Trees
1-10   Normal Trees
10-25   Normal Trees &   Oak Trees
25-35   Oak Trees &   Willow Trees
35-45   Willow Trees &   Teak Trees
45-55   Teak Trees &   Maple Trees
55-60   Maple Trees &   Mahogany Trees
60-90   Mahogany Trees &   Yew Trees
90-99   Yew Trees &   Redwood Trees

Experience per hour can easily be calculated per tree as [math]\displaystyle{ \frac{\text{Experience Gain}}{\text{Cutting Interval}} \times 3\,600 }[/math]. The total experience gain per hour is then simply the sum of the per tree experience calculation.

Selling logs is advisable to make it possible to purchase essential upgrades such as Axes or

, but this might slow down

so keeping some is recommended. It is also possible to sell the   Bird Nests that are produced, which are worth more unopened on average compared to selling the seeds after opening.
