Realms are a thematic way to categorise content in Melvor Idle. Introduced alongside the

Into the Abyss Expansion, they aim to provide a clean and tidy way for content to be added to the game that can be separate from other content.

Realms

The Melvor Realm is the original/default Realm in the game. All content from the Full Version,   Throne of the Herald Expansion, and   Atlas of Discovery Expansion are in the Melvor Realm. The first two dungeons of the

Into the Abyss Expansion are also in this Realm. The Abyssal Realm has all other content from

Into the Abyss. By existing in a new realm, Into the Abyss can reward the player with new buffs and modifier sources without making the player overpowered in other Realms. There is one additional realm that is added with the

Into the Abyss Expansion. The following spoiler box details the realm and how to gain access to said realm.

This additional realm is the Eternal Realm. Like the Abyssal Realm, modifiers that specifically state "Melvor Realm", "Abyssal Realm", "Normal Damage" or "Abyssal Damage" will not work here. Access to the Eternal Realm will be unlocked once the

has been crafted. The Eternity Realm adds a new damage type, Eternal Damage. There are only a few sources of this and there are no enemies that resist Eternal Damage however this may change in the future. Nothing found in the Eternal Realm, including the Eternity Mitt itself and all of the Stones required to make the Mitt (excluding

Soul Stone
), is required for completion. The Eternal Realm is currently inaccessible because the

does not have a source. The Eternal Realm is incomplete and any information (excluding how to access it) may change in the future.

Differences

Several core game concepts exist as parallel versions in the two realms. Modifiers in the game can be

Melvor Realm Abyssal Realm
Currency   GP   AP
Slayer Currency   SC   ASC
Skill Level Skill Level Abyssal Level
Skill XP Skill XP Abyssal XP
Mastery XP Mastery XP^ Mastery XP^
Damage type Normal Abyssal
Prayer Points Prayer Points Soul Points

^ Each Realm comes with its own Mastery Pool that is increased by training content in that Realm. Mastery XP modifiers work in all Realms unless otherwise specified in its description.

Notes:

  • By default, modifiers work in all Realms unless otherwise specified in its description (It will mention if it only works in a specific Realm)
  • Enemies in Strongholds always deal Pure Damage, regardless of what Realm they reside in.
  • If no weapon is equipped, this means the player will use Normal Damage.
  • Error creating thumbnail: File missing

    and

require that a weapon which deals the correct type of damage is equipped. There is a notification if the wrong damage type is equipped.
  • When using Abyssal Damage, the player has 10x the health from Melvor

levels and Abyssal food does 10x the healing.
  • Abyssal Hitpoints Levels only affect health in the Abyssal realm.
