'''When a major game update occurs, it's crucial that a backup is made BEFORE loading a save.''' It's impossible to predict what a mod will do when a major game update occurs, no matter what the mod aims to do. Removing/Disabling content mods (such as those that add a new skill or new item(s)) will result in the data from that mod being permanently deleted upon loading the save. As such, it is up to the player to decide if they wish to disable the mod and play the game now, resulting in the loss of that modded progression or wait until the mods have been updated to the current version.
