Why clear Deep Sea Ship?
Standard
The Deep Sea Ship dungeon is usually farmed for the Sunset Rapier, which is an upgrade after the Dragon Sword.
This guide assumes Auto Eat - Tier III has been unlocked.

The dungeon has two other notable uses.
Magic
The first one is farming Amulet of Torture for Fury of the Elemental Zodiacs if you don't want farm Fierce Devil.
This setup will need 370 Hitpoints and 22% Damage Reduction. And can expect roughly 13.5 clears per hour.

The second one is getting the Ancient Sword if you want to save on food. Due to its low drop chance, it's usually done only if you really need it, for instance if you play HCCO.

Ranged
Although you can beat the dungeon with any combat style, it is advised to use Magic because the final boss The Kraken has high evasion against Melee and Ranged.
This setup will need 460 Hitpoints and 10% Damage Reduction. And can expect roughly 5.5 clears per hour.

For instance, your Hitpoints expenditure per hour with Melee can be a quarter of what Magic spends, but the number of clears with Melee  would be half of Magic. Usually for this dungeon, the difference in food is negligible in terms of time needed to produce it, so Magic is recommended.

Check your build with Can I Idle to see if you can idle the dungeon.
Melee
As an example for Hardcore, you need 680 HP with Auto Eat - Tier II to idle this dungeon without any Damage Resistance.
This setup will need 380 Hitpoints and 25% Damage Reduction. And can expect roughly 2.5 clears per hour.

This guide is written around the restrictions of the AoD Ancient Relics game mode.

No 99 cooking mastery or 95% mastery pool.
The Ancient Relics game mode restricts the players maximum levels for combat skills to to 10 plus 5 times the number of dungeons completed. For this dungeon, the players combat skills will be capped at a maximum of 30, and the guide will assume all non-combat skills are of a similar level.

Fire Surge was used as a spell of choice.
If you're playing Ancient Relics you will need to manual eat this dungeon just like almost every other dungeon.
The idle requirements are technically possible but very impractical.

With the clear speed of 23.5 dungeons per hour, you will need around 4 hours to have a 50% chance of getting Sunset Rapier.
Magic is suggested for this dungeon due to Combat Triangle advantage.

To have a 95% chance, you will need <math>( log_{1-5/641}0.05 ) / 23.5</math> or 16.2 hours.

Ancient Relics

This guide is written around the restrictions of the Ancient Relics game mode.

The Ancient Relics game mode restricts the players maximum levels for combat skills to to 10 plus 5 times the number of dungeons completed. For this dungeon, the players combat skills will be capped at a maximum of 30, and the guide will assume all non-combat skills are of a similar level.

If you're playing Ancient Relics you will need to manual eat this dungeon just like almost every other dungeon. The idle requirements are technically possible but very impractical.

With combat skills still being very low, the player's options haven't changed too much from the previous dungeon, but they do have a little more room to improve their equipment with accessories from additional monsters. Once again, its not necessary to hunt down every scrap of beneficial equipment since so much will be replaced quickly, but the following is an approximation of the best available equipment at this stage of the game.
